Hello
I have a 86 9000t 5sp. Great ski,surf car, great gas milage 22-28
and holds more windsurf sails and gear than my friends 4 runner.
This car has 275,000 miles on it. I payed 2500 $ when she had 100,000
miles and just change the oil every 3000 miles no issues.
It's fun blasting by the 50,000$ new SUV's on the way to Lake Tahoe.
Turbos rip at high altitude climbs. I with 3 friends and trippling the SUV's milage, I have a big ugly Thule box on top clasic SAAB. Well I had good luck and just purchased a 1987 9000T with 100,000 miles payed 2300$
and made it sporty i.e APC computer/Konis/lowering springs/injectors
bypass valve and 16" wheels total cost extra 2000$ total investment 4300$
and I spank most Aeros with my surf board straped on top :--) I took her
to Thunderhill race track last week and spanked 2 911s and a Ford 5L.
Dont buy a early 900 I had one and a old 99 both were junk. Transmissions and cylinder heads all fixed in the 9000s. I wouldnt buy a auto or non Turbo. Just my 3 cents. Good luck.
P.s Watch a white 87 9000T license plate wavezz
pass you buy on the way to Tahoe Aero fellas.
Relax just kidding ? Dave.
