I have a 3" i/o Magnaflow on my '9000 with the middle resonator removed.
I don't think there's much difference, relative to performance, between
it and the Dynomax. My Magnaflow only cost me $100. What does the Dynomax
go for? There is an increase in sound level, but I would not call it loud.
The stock exhaust, and even some 'sport' exhaust systems, are very quiet -
almost Toyota-ish quiet. The Magnaflow will surprise you. It's design
suggests it should be very loud - one can look through an end and see clear
thru the other - but, it's not. It has a very nice growl when you rev the
engine, but is not loud at idle or at highway cruising speeds. I guess all
the anecdotes I've heard about the turbo absorbing a lot of the db's may
be true. So, I'd say yes, there is a slight increase in noise level, but
not anything that's annoying to the driver or passengers.
