I had the same thing happen when I smogged my 92 9KT. the guys put it on the dyno, the car would start spinning the rollers, then the TCS would kick in and the wheels would spin down to a stop. The guys then start looking all over the dash and jabbering at each other in vietnamese...I knew what they were looking for but let 'em look for awhile...Finally one comes over to me and asks if my car has traction control..."Yupppers"..."how you turn off?" "Ya don't on that car"...'"oh"
I still passed :)
I'm sure you know already Jeff, but just disabling the TCS with the saab switch kit will only allow wheelspin...the TCS still needs to be healthy, it will still enter into limp mode if something is wrong, even with the switch off. For me, I could do without the TCS in sunny SoCal. If I lived in New England and my g/f was driving the car, I'd be happy that she was in a car with traction control. :)
BTW, how are you liking the 9K?
