Imran,
If this is a Saab dealer, you're getting a very good price. I paid a Saab dealer £11,000 for a silver '96 Aero manual 18 months ago with 113K miles!
I don't know much about non-dealer prices, but even given a Saab warranty (valued at about £500) built into the price for my car, that's quite a difference.
I found manual transmission was the difficult thing to find in an Aero - a majority of 9000s in the UK appear to be automatic.
The advice on the board suggests that as long as you treat it sensibly and avoid the temptation to indulge in drag-race starts, the auto transmission will last, even on the Aero (auto is 200HP vs the 225HP manual version).
I don't tend to like autos, but I drove two auto Aeros before I bought the manual. I was quite impressed, but couldn't get over my prejudice and eventually held out for the out-and-out performance of the manual.
Glad I didn't buy either of them - when a manual came along it was silver - the autos were both red and the older of the two showed me how badly that colour can fade.
In my view, the 9000 Aero looks most impressive in silver.
