It looks like you're looking at $2000 to $2500 to fix it now, since you're paying others to do it. At that mileage, the trans is a SERIOUS risk, and you're talking about $3000 to $5000 if that goes. So we're talking $5000 to $7500 out of your pocket if you keep it, or $4000 into your pocket if you sell it. I say sell.
The "balancers" you need are the sprockets (the gears that the chain turns) for the two balance shafts. You'll also need two chains, a tensioner and a few guides. The labor is the expensive part. If the trans goes though, it's all expensive.
