MAP & Engine Cut Out

Morning chaps: A bit back I had been having trouble with engine cut out (like a hiccup) under high boost conditions. I swapped out the plugs and have been running 94, but still it knocked now and then. I put in some octane booster to take it up even higher but, while the Aero is definately faster (fun stuff!), it still knocks now and then. Aero Guy (where did he go anyway?) posted that probably the "minimum preload on the waste gate motor is too great and it's triggering the MAP." First off, what does MAP stand for? And there's a motor on the waste gate? Sorry, but I'm still a newbie :-) And second, how does one adjust this? Lastly, can anyone tell me if the engine is actually knocking when it cuts out, or does it precipitate knock? Could someone enlighten me as to what's going on here? I took it into the dealer and they said there was nothing wrong and charged me $50.
