Don't know; but I have a Bar's Leak's story Posted by Gerry [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Pregnant heater hose leaking. How much coolant must be, Daren, Mon, 12 Mar 2001 18:54:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Can't help you, but I had a good start to the week thanks to Bar's Leak's coolant system protection.
I had bought my 97 9k just 2 weeks ago, which had only a slight hint of a problem: the temperature gage would reach the "acceptable" range, but only barely into the lower end of it. Furthermore, the heating system was giving warm, even very warm, but not really "hot" air. It felt like a thermostat problem, so I checked Quasi's fine web-site, which shows this is not a 1-step or 2-step job. Not being an urgent problem, and seeing how Quasi advocates Bar's Leak's so strongly (for preventitive maintenance), I picked up a bottle and chucked it into the reservoir. The instructions say to take a drive to get it circulated, and so I did.
Amazingly, the car heated right up to normal after a mile or so, - gage and heater ! This stuff is incredible ! (Now if I could figure out what I managed to plug !) Thank you Quasi, keep up the good work.
