Synthetic oil vs mineral oil. Any difference in warm climate?

My car is usually dealer serviced and filled with Caltex Havoline Formula 3 15W/50, a semi-synthetic blend. I have occasionally used fully synthetic oil(such as Mobil 1 5W/50 and Havoline Formula 3-Fully Synthetic 5W/40)which is 3 times more expensive.
Despite the huge difference in price, other than a better fuel economy, I do not notice any appreciable improvement in performance by using fully synthetic. The acceleration, engine noise, vibration, etc are virtually the same as using the cheaper oil. In short, I am unable to feel any real difference in performance reported by other posters in TSN.
Is this because I live in warm climate where the average temperatures are 28*C to 34*C (82.4*F to 93.2*F) in summer and 10*C to 20*C (50*F to 68*F)in winter so that whatever oil is used, the engine is quickly warmed up?
