Hi Guys,

Any of you who've been following my frustrating battle with an annoying hiccup which occurred under boost conditions will be pleased to know that it's been taken care of. My thanks to you for all the tips. To be honest, I think most of my frustration came from dealing with the people that work at Saturn London (Ontario). There seems to be several layers of Saab ignorant bureaucracy that get in the way of the Saab owner and the one Saab Master Technician. Typically, they will not allow you to meet with him, talk to him, or trouble shoot with him on the floor. The solution? When you call ask to speak to the mechanic by name, tell him the problem, arrange a test drive, and make sure he'll be the only one working on it, period, paragraph and end of story. When I went in this time I just bypassed the protesting secretary and ignored the rude overfed Saturn PR monkey and dealt only with the Saab mechanic. To make a long story short, it took him about 10 minutes (!) to determine that it was the APC solenoid allowing the system to overboost. This is after a costly visit to the same dealer with the Saturn people telling me nothing was wrong with it. I don't mind paying top dollar for quality, but I just see red when they waste my time. Live and learn. I can appreciate the GM Saturn team structure in which the PR person walks the Saturn owner through the issue, but Saabs are a completely different animal and require a different approach. At the end of the day it's great to have my Aero in good working order again. Rant over -- thanks for listening :-)

Cheers,
Bill
