My 88 9kS (114k miles) has the symptoms of an accumulator spring problem developing, engine reves while shifting 3-4. Looked at the townsend site, I know that I can do the job. I have a service manual on back-order with SAAB, don't know if I'll get it. My question(s). I belive there is a service bullitin related to this. Does any one know the number? the dealer will send a copy if I find the number. On the Townsend site, I'm guessing its the second proceedure under the transmission shiffting tech info I need to do. (a total of 3 springs and maybe a dampner plunger seal?) Does anyone remember what part numbers I need to order? The text also recommends replacing the o-rings on a transfer tube that has to be pulled to remove the valve body. Any body got a part number or better SAAB description? And maybe a part number for the pan gasket? Or even better, is there a kit I could order somewhere that would have whats ussually needed and instuctions? While I'm being long winded, anybody had any luck rebuilding their own Slush-box? I've done Mopars, Chuby's, Furds, And Toyoters, just haven't tackled a ZF yet, core is sitting in the corner of the shop. Thanx in advance.
