I hope this is not too long. When I first drove my '87 home from CO to OK last summer, I noticed that it would just lose power very badly going uphill and then die. After a few minutes it would restart. I discovered if I kept the tank full, refilling at odometer of 200 miles, the problem was gone. If I went to 240 mi, it usually came back. Today, at 99 miles, it stopped dead after going through an intersection. After 15 min it restarted. I drove 1/2 mi and put in fuel additive. Ran fine, went 1/2 mi, shut car off for 15 min, started fine. Drove 1/4 mi, shut it off, left it for 15 min and will not start. Left several hours, and still will not start. Cannot hear the fuel pump, even with the casing off. Any ideas? Sounds like the fuel pump, but after reading posts for hours, am very confused. Thanks for any help.
