I've been driving my '92 9000, 5 speed, n/a for the past few days instead of my '98 CSE. Got gas yesterday at a station that sells a lot of gas, and have driven about 120 miles since then. Made a few stops today, and car was running/starting great, but then wouldn't start at all. It ran for a few seconds then quit. Did that a couple more times, then wouldn't catch at all. I let it sit for several hours, tried again, but still no luck. I've checked all the fuses, but they are fine.
My first guess is the fuel pump, but I think I can hear it running for a few seconds after I crank the engine. Anyway a buzzing was coming from the rear of the car. Normal sound, not louder than usual.
Any ideas? What can I do to troubleshoot this problem? If it is the fuel pump, how difficult a job is it to replace it myself. I assume it's in the tank.
