Engine hesitation on 9000CS 2.3T (AMM, DI ruled out)

Since I've bought a '92 900LPT my '92 9000CS 2.3T seems to be jealous...
I'm experiencing an intermittent engine hesitation at any speed and any load/boost conditions. When the hesitation occurs it feels like a faulty Air mass meter, the engine won't accept any gas pedal movements
and has trouble to keep the speed. Even when putting the pedal to the floor, the engine doesn't deliver more power. The boost gauge just goes halfway and nothing else happens (read: absolutely no ooomphhh).
-The APC-solenoid has been replaced -> no change.
-The DI-Cassette & cable harness were changed -> no change.
-The AMM has been swapped with a known good one -> no change.
-The spark-plugs are new and correctly gapped (NGK BCPR7 as required).
The hesitation came over a couple of weeks and degraded from slight annoyance to undrivable.
The car has been tested by a Saab mechanic and had no error codes stored.
My latest conclusion is that the trouble seems to be related to humidity.
That's way the Saab tech claimed that the car was in perfect shape and didn't show any signs of trouble.
I picked the car up on a warm dry day from the Saab mechanic and the car ran perfectly.
The day before (wet) I had the car towed because it was undrivable.
The day after (wet too) it showed again the hesitation symptoms (to a lesser extent).
Perhaps there's an unreliable connection in the cable harness from the AMM to the ECU, but checking this out
with an Ohmmeter will be a PITA.
Any suggestions ?
Bye
Yves D.
