9000 Timing Chain, oil pump sprocket- general fun --> HELP!!

My 1988 9k Turbo has done it's timing chain (in the middle of rush hour on a Friday afternoon- but that's another story). The oil pressure light came on which I later found out was because the timing chain has sawn the teeth off the "oil pump sprocket".
The timing chain did not break but needs replacement. The SAAB dealer said they could a) drain and flush the sump and use a magnet to retrieve the teeth or b) remove the sump "to do it properly" which is a whole days labour.
The timing chain, tensioner and oil pump sprocket will need doing- what should I do- remove the sump or flush?
I do not know if anything else has to be done but in your opinion(s) what else should be looked at if they are replacing the chain??
