Hi, Rupert. The bushes I changed were the front and rear bushes on the front lower control arm. I don't think I need have gone to the bother of changing the front bushes. It was the rear ones that were shot, as I believe is almost always the case. It has made an amazing difference to the steering of the car and quite a difference to the road noise level. The symptoms were that the steering wouldn't stay in alignment and I could hear the brakes grinding at the end of a hard stop - transmitted through the subframe through some metal-to-metal contact, I presume.
I changed the drop-links from the anti-roll bar to the control arms as well.
I'm not sure how a "bobbling" noise would sound. Perhaps you could describe it in more detail.
The engine mounts cost me £45 each ($64US) plus tax from my indy, Neo Brothers in the UK. My local Saab dealer wanted around £180 each (plus tax)!
