It's not too difficult, actually, and doesn't require pressing anything in or out. The worst part for me was popping the steering joint from the knuckle, and in retrospect, that may not have been neccessary. To do this you need a special "pickle fork" that wedges between arm and the knuckle; as you drive it in it wedges tighter until the joint pops out. Don't be tempted to drive it out by whacking on the nut as you'll surely deform the joint. Also, take as many pieces off as you can while the knuckle is still mounted to the strut because many of the parts are torqued down tightly and will be a pain to loosen on the bench. (I learned the hard way!)
The whole thing took me about 4 hours including all the interruptions and cleanup at the end. Another caution, the nut on the end of the axle shaft should be torqued to 205 lb-ft! You'll need a breaker bar and a pipe to extend the shaft to be able to break this loose. My dealer sold me a new nut with the bearing hub. (Both parts came to about $225) To get the new one tight, I had my wife lean on the wrench to keep it on the nut while I literally bounced on the handle. (Ever heard of Gandy Dancing?)
Good Luck!
