I just wanted to add some information on removing the mirror control switch. It always seems like you've got to almost break it to remove it.
You need a knife blade, and a thin, long, flat blade screwdriver. Carefully pry back the rear of the window swich plate (long oval piece of plastic), just enough to be able to slide the screwdriver in. You want to have the screwdriver horizontal, with the blade facing the front of the car. About half-way into the switch there is a little plastic tang. When you press it with the screwdriver, the plate will release.
