Mid yellow means the engine is running at Base boost - a real shame for an aero.
There are a whole pile of reasons why a car would be running at base boost, and some of them are related to cruise control problems.
The car will be in base boost if:
-The engine is knocking (run premium if you aren't already)
-The engine control thinks the brake pedal is being pushed
-The engine control thinks the cuise control is engaged
This is normal operation. You will be in base boost if the APC solenoid is not working, or the wires to it are disconnected or making bad contact - check the solenoid AND the connections to the APC box - I've heard of problems with the connector on the APC box getting loose. Also, check for vacuum leaks - check all hoses.
The cruise control will disengage if you hit the brake or clutch pedal - so there are switches at the pedals to detect this. If you've got a misadjusted brake pedal switch, this could cause both your problems. But cruise control problems are pretty common, so unless you saw the problems start at the same time, I'd treat them separately. If the cruise control switches are OK, then inspect the hoses, especially at the cruise control vacuum motor (under the panel at the base of the windshield in the engine compartment). A bad hose will cause the system not to work.
You should be able to hit the red in your Aero.
