definitely do a search of this BB for the answer to this question. It's been covered many times. My 94 aero's base boost is about 1o'clock on the boost gauge. If you unplug the electrical connect to the BPC (on top of the radiator) with the engine off, go for a drive, and see no difference w/ your boost, then the BPC valve is probably wasted. if you don't even get that much boost (stays in the white zone), then the wastegate is probably stuck open(probably not likely). 3rd test- unplug the middle hose on the BPC. Go for a drive- if it boosts out of control (be careful- don't floor it) then the wastegate/turbo is fine, and it's very likely the BPC is shot. Some folks have fixed their BPC valves by spraying liquid wrench into them, and slinging out the sludge a few times. I tried electrical cleaner which is working. Otherwise, go to the dealer and fork over $200 for a new valve.
