Yes, for a variety of reasons, you need to bypass the amp under the passenger seat. The harness is just a plug that plugs into the connector set to which the factory radio connects. The harness will have rear speaker leads, but you don't use them. Instead, connect a length of speaker wire to the speaker leads at the back of the radio. Run that wire down underneath the passenger seat. Cut the rear speaker leads coming out of the amplifier and connect the wires you have run to the speaker leads you just cut (connect to the wires running away from the amplifier, not back into it).
I ran the wires under the glovebox and down under the passenger rocker panel, which was a mistake since the wire bundle under the passenger rocker panel is causing alternator whine. The better way to do it is to remove the center console and run the wires through there.
The antenna leads are standard.
