The car does have high mileage for being only 5 years old.
Kelly Blue Book tends to be high when rating the value of used cars, IMHO.
I think Edmunds is more realistic.
Edmunds gives the following values for this car, with 98,000 miles:
Trade-In value: $7,475
Private party sale: $8,411
Retail (car dealer): $10,001
So, it's not a bad deal, but not a great deal, either. I agree with Robert Davis, what's important is how it's been serviced. Are there records you can look at? These automatic transmissions seem to have a life span of about 100,000 to 125,000 miles, so you should factor in the cost of replacement ($2500 - $3500, depending on who does it and where you get the rebuilt unit).
I would offer $6,500, and point out the high mileage and the reputation of the automatic transmission. If you get it for $6500, then I'd say you got a great deal.
