How have you inspected the ball joints and bushings? Usually you need to get in there with some leverage and push. A good example is the rear bushing for the A-arm - it can look fine, but if it's worn, you can get some pretty impressive non-intended steering inputs. Jack and support the car, and pull the tire. Slip a flat blade screwdriver between the chassis and the A-arm, and see if you can deflect the rear bushing any. It should be pretty darn stiff.
Make sure all the bolts are tight - not only suspension bolts, but the subframe bolts, too. If you're not sure what to look for, and what the proper torques are, bring it to a mechanic.
If you're chewing up serpentine belts at the rate of 3-4 a year, the fix isn't a stronger belt. Those belts should last years. It sounds like the pulleys aren't in proper alignment, and this is prematurely wearing the belt. An 'industrial grade' belt will just leave industrial grade particles in the engine compartment before it breaks. I've heard of problems with getting the belt tensioner aligned right.
