I want to clarify Jeff's comments-
If you're going to run a low current device (portable CD player, recharge a cell phone, etc.), then you could tap it into the light. For a ground, find a piece of metal chassis and connect it there. Either find an existing bolt, or drill a hole for a sheet metal screw. Make sure you clean the paint and primer from the metal first.
If you're looking to pull a lot of current, say more than an amp or so (look at the rating of the device), then you'll want to find a more stout source. I'm always leery of connecting directly to the battery, fuse or no fuse. A mistake with the current a battery can deliver can be a big mistake. But one question - do you want the source to switch off with the key, or be available all the time?
