seat and located under the right front seat. You may try some measuring there but doubt you will have much luck, as this port interfaces with the ISAT embedded software. Once the interface is made with this port an interrogation signal is feed into the computer from the ISAT and the computer responds in many ways depending on the interrogation signal sent. Some responses are voltages but most are a series of coded pulses which the ISAT reads and reports as a series of numerical signals known as the "codes". Saab technical procedures are set up such that the ISAT will determine which component is malfunctioning. Since this is a Remove and Replace world, little field testing of the components is actually done. However, the saab tech manuals do provide limited test information for the DIY mechanic but usually all testing is done at the component interface connector so breaking into or probing harnesses is not required.
