I recommend spending $30 to get a tech section for the transmission.
The driver side engine mount is at the end of the transmission. So the engine need to be properly supported if you remove the transmission to replace the clutch. Do that first.
The following is from memory:
Remove both front wheels. Remove both wheel well covers.
Loosen the front struts. Loosen the drive shaft from the inner CV joint.
Loosen the shift linkage.
Loosen the transmission and remove.
Of course I omitted to mention the disconnection of the clutch hydraulic line, removal of some supporting frame under the transmission and other miscellaneous parts in the way.
The 9k transmission is a monster, unlike that for some Japanese cars like a Honda. I remember removing and installing the transaxle on a Honda Civic with my bare hands without a jack and I am only 5-9. You can forget about that for the 9k.
