Why does Saab sell synthetic MTF?

If I'm not mistaken, MTAERO has done more than a little modification to
his engine, that is, it's getting more than stock output from the engine.
Also, I think his vehicle has a Quaife LSD to complement his auto-crossing.
However, your eagerness to correlate the crown/spur damage with the use
of synthetic led me to ask the question: does Saab sell synthetic MTF
because it's more profitable, or is it because their engineers feel it's
significantly better than dino juice?
