I recently had a good chat with AeroGuy about the many confusing variations of engine management systems that were in the 93's, it's in the archives. From what I understand, if you get the '93 you can basically end up with anywhere from a system with two different control boxes for fuel/ignition/engine control, to a full one-combined-box trionic system as used in the 94's and up. I'm still not quite sure what I have but pretty certain that it is the full normal trionic, but this is a nightmare for tuners to sort out and you may have a tough time upping the computer if you desire more power. That said I am very happy with my '93 CSE (dark red / charcoal int.), I've had it for 1 year and 13k miles now (it's at 90k), TCS hasn't given me a lick of trouble, and the only major stuff I've replaced are the Motor mounts. I think either car would do you well, remember the 93's can be fitted pretty cheaply with a TCS-off switch, which, while it will not prevent the limp-home mode and other TCS-related maladies that have been reported by some, it will give you back your control if you're the kind of person that likes that (personally I think the computer has slightly better reflexes than me, so...)
