A couple of weeks ago I dropped from 5th to 4th at 65mph on the highway to pass somebody, floored the accelerator, and the car shuddered, and then went on as normal. I tried to get it to repeat this performance, flooring the throttle at different points in the rev range, in different gears, but to no avail. I actually wondered if the car had attempted to jump out of gear, but didn't quite make it. Then, last week, I was on a feeder lane to Route 9 in Natick, MA, doing about 25 mph (2000rmp ish) in 2nd gear, I floored the gas, and the car shuddered again. I tried again to get it to repeat, but to no avail. Yesterday, I was going through Masspikes 'FastLane' Tollbooth, about 20 mph in 2nd gear, gently accelerating, and it did it again! This time, not even needing hard accaleration. Finally, this morning, pulling into traffic on a busy road, I floored the gas in 2nd gear, and the car shuddered repeatedly until I lifted the pedal, when I put my foot back down, it did the same thing again. It sounded like it was hitting a rev-limiter. It so far has only done this low - mid range, it's fine high up. My suspicion is fuel feed, but... The symptoms sound very similar to smeters Aero, but being lpt, my car does not have APC. Any ideas?
