Last year bought '93 9000 CSE T w/108K mi in good cond. 1)Dealer did some injection service this week (now 123K), replaced transmission mt., said my engine miss was bad DI cart. Have new cart being shipped at significant savings, but decided to take apart the old DI to check the indiv. coils; #2 cyl bad (open circuit), rest OK w/11K ohms readings. Haynes says coils can be removed, but it looks like they are embeded in a kind of epoxy-can't seem to remove the bad one w/out possible damage to it. I'd like to keep the old for spare if I ever have another coil failure. Anyone know the secret to removing each coil safely? 2)can't seem to locate the NGK plugs locally the manual calls for. Anyone have any luck w/ different brand (Bosch/ND/etc)? 3) intermed. & rear muffler replacement time-any good experiences w/aftermarket or national muffler shops at reasonable cost? Would really appreciate any and all input-trying to convince the wife that the car is really worth keeping, lot of life left in her. Thanks.
