but not in a lubrication system having close tolerances such as lifters bearings etc. You are just asking for trouble. It is good to use when installing new cams on the lobes but sparingly. There was an oil on the market about 20-30 years ago which had a Molybdenum additive, I believe it was multi mile or something like that, but after several law suits from claims of ruined engines, the oil disappeared from the shelves never to be seen or heard of again. This metal compound was designed to make Sliding surfaces more slipery because of the spherical molecular structure. Under high pressure and temperature, in close tolerances, it sort of works like sand in the medium (oil) in a metal to metal contact . Please don't do this!
