My '90 9K (2.0i no cat.; UK car) has black plugs (carbon all 4 the same). I assume no lambda sensor but there is a stainless steel tube surrounded by a steel coil running from the exhaust manifold (LHS looking at the engine) to the back of the throttle body.
New plugs, new air filter, distributor cap and rotor arm. Runs OK but I guess it is running too rich. I see the sealed adjuster on the AMM but seems like this should be a last resort.
Any ideas welcome
Justin
