Just keep in many that many (possibly most) coaxial 6.5" speakers are a bit too small to fit in the stock holes. Oh they'll fit, but you'll probably be able to slide them around a bit inside the hole, and the screw holes may not line up. What you want is typically called a 6.5"S, or oversized 6.5", or sometimes 6.75". Bang for the buck, Boston Acoustics makes some very nice speakers, as does Blaupunkt. Spending a little more money you may be looking into Infinity or Polk, even more possibly Diamond Audio.. Of course the best sound will be a quality set of separates, as in the stock configuration. Crutchfield often has some great sales on these for barely more than a set of good coaxials, or you can do like me, and pick and choose your own woofer, tweeter, and crossover..
If you go separates, I like the modification I'd done which locates the tweeter by the reading lights. I find it sounds quite a bit better than having the tweeter fire straight up into the little corner window (after getting out of the deep recess it sits in). For this you need a flush mount kit, a drill, and the appropriate size hole saw, but very easy.
