Thanks, Aero. With the beeper I meant I've heard it beep before, when they found leak in my condenser 2 years ago. This time they didn't find a leak.
Can I replace the compressor seal DIY? Does the compressor have to come out? And I imagine once I open the system, I should replace the drier again. Or should I just keep topping it off? Anyone used this sealer I mentioned?
About Midas, I'm a sucker for coupons, and they are walking distance from my house. I didn't expect they would have to evacuate the system, but it made more sense after I heard it wasn't just at the mechanic's discretion. Midas told me state regulations mandate the machine they hook it up to, and it just spits out the answers.
