Oil Leak '94 AERO - please help! Posted by Carlo [Email] ![]() ![]() |
My '94 AERO has 135k miles on it and within the past 6 months it has developed a few oil leaks. The car has never run better, stronger.
The smallest leak (though most expensive) is coming from the front corners of the head gasket (it's not the valve cover gasket, I triple checked).
The rest of the oil is oozing from a number of places. From what I can see and have read it looks like... water pump seal, oil pump seal, turbo oil line seals, and god knows what from the timing chain cover area.
Ok, I've decided to tackle this thing though I have two questions:
1) Is it really stupid to leave the head gasket replacement for another time and just tackle the rest now? Will I be doubling my labor?
2) What seals should I replace when I do all the misc seals, gaskets?
Thanks,
Carlo
