I have a '95 9000 and I recently replaced my stereo (thanks for the info on removing the original one, the coat hanger worked fine). I have been through enough cars in my life that I habitually plan that I may want to keep my new stereo and reinstall the original if I decide it's time to sell the car. To that end I left the original plugs intact in the car and wired to the needed connection using 0.187" spade terminals thinned down to about 0.150".

I metered out the power connection to determine which wire was which and wire up the power and antenna control. For the output I unplugged the under seat amplifier and tapped into the output wires for the speakers (by the way, simply obsreving the color code avoids any trial and error I've read so much about).

Now the stereo works great, I can play CDs, they don't skip and the range getting to the amplifier is not limited by the tape heads (Diskman type car adapter kit limitation).

However, my remote keyless entry no longer works. I've tried both transmitters with no activation. The alarm system still works using the key to lock the door, but no remote Keyless. In wiring the power I found wires for battery, ignition, ground, and others that I did not define. I figured one of the extras was for the power antenna and I'm not sure about the other. The other was brown and white, I looked at the color and assumed it was for the dashboard light connection. Based on this my guess at the power antenna worked.

My question is, is this extra connection, the brown and white, somehow tied in with the remote keyless. I suppose there is the possibility that I somehow dislodged a connection from the sensor, but I didn't think I pulled any wires while I was under there.

Any ideas how to make my remote keyless work again??
Geoff
