As I already noted in response to a post on the Performance board, bleeding the MAP sensor is somewhat dark territory. But, sure, people do it.
You can't really argue that 20psi+ is unsafe. There are many on this board who have upgraded ECUs that use pressures that high. Maptun reprograms the ECU to move fuel cut to a higher set point. This allows them to pull off higher than stock pressures. What is being done with the MAP bleed is pretty similar. However, it does not retain the ECU's ability to reduce boost if a problem occurs.
I consider using a MBC to raise boost pressures beneath the factory installed fuel cut to be safe under the right conditions. Exceeding this limit is not inherently dangerous, but it could be if you don't know exactly what you're doing. It's probably best to leave this to the professionals: buy an ECU upgrade!
Also, using pressures that high in a daily driver car might be undesirable anyway. Even if the extra power was safe for the engine, first and second gears would sure take a beating.
