Hi,

I would like to share with you - how to solve strange problem with starters. I had problems when I wanted to start my engine when it was hot. My starter was OK - it was checked, but it just didn't work if the engine was hot - no answer from starter at all. You're gonna be surprised when I tell you what caused the problem. The voltage was not high enough to make the starter solenoid operate well. It can be a matter of quite old and dirty wires and connections - which get worse when operating in hot conditions. The easiest way to solve the problem is to install another relay which will give the power to solenoid straight from the battery. This relay is operated by a wire which previously was powering the solenoid.
I'm sorry for my inproper English, but the car-related vocabulary is still quite new for me.
