that mates the engine. In 1990 the mount was changed for all 9000i/S cars and those with 202 engines. The new mount had a very large plate on top and was attached with a flared tongue at the center, it was NOT attached to the rubber. After some usage the engine vibration caused this plate to curl upwards and leave a small gap to the rubber - that is ok. To my knowledge this mount was applied across the line to all cars when the balance shaft engines were added to the line in 91. (204-234). Not seeing your mount, I can't say what you have, but if the plate which is bonded to the rubber is only about 25mm square or less, it is an early mount.
