TCS Misery..... Posted by Darrell [Email] (#2525) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Darrell) on Fri, 20 Jul 2001 18:12:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi folks,
My TCS misery continues. Started with car running fine for 15-25 minutes then going into limp mode. Took it to Andrews for scan and they reported safety valve failure. Replaced that and problem continued. Rescanned with Tech 2 and code pointed to bad throttle position sensor. Replaced that with used unit from Goldwing and still in limp mode. From all of the lit and tech info out there, I gather that I need to have the system calibrated before it will function properly. My question is, am I hurting things by driving in limp mode and has anyone ever had to replace the TPS (gas pedal pot)?
Thanks
Darrell
