I posted a message over the weekend about my ongoing and fruitless battle against an idle stumble (which would lead to the car stalling out at startup on occassion) in my '92 9kT. After visiting 3 or 4 different mechanics, one finally claimed to have beaten the problem by cleaning the lines to the throttle body at the computer terminal underneath the drivers seat.

While the car was there I also had them put on a new brake caliper, which took a few days as it had to be ordered. When the brake was finally installed today, I called to find out how things had gone. To my dismay, I was told that the car stalled out on startup and the stumble was back. Here and now, I tell you all, I am throwing in the towel. Every time my car stalls out, I will shake my head and shrug for there is no fixing it.

So beware... if you are buying one of these cars with this problem or your car develops it- there is no cure short of a new car. Good luck, all!
