First I have to Disagree a little bit with Kyle. If your 9K has a knock sensor the higher octane will allow the computer to advance the timing further which will produce a very small increase in performance and fuel economy. It would probably not be a seat of the pants feel but would show on a dyno. Most of the additives I have tried in the past were mostly a chemical known as MMT, which did allow me to run more timing advance. BUT! I found them to leave deposits on the plugs (Rust color) and I was concered it would build up on the valves. In my travels from coast to coast, and I read this in a car magazine at one time or another, is they lower the octane at higher alltitudes and in the summer as non-turbo cars do not need as much octane under these conditions (warmer air and high alltitude equals less air and lower compression) Unless you can find Unocal 76 that sells race gas at the pump, shop around. A lot of the stations acctually sell the same gas from the same refinery with "their" additive in it. Cheveron and BP are the 2 my 9K and 900T seem to prefer.
