ATTN: Bill Cannastra - just a quick note

It's me again Bill. I was thinking about this performance upgrade in bed last night and remembered something from my C900 turbo days. When I use to drive my 1987 900T (with a red Saab APC box) I had an aftermarket muffler on it with a hole in it. At the time I did not realize it, but I strongly believe the hole in the muffler let the exhaust flow better and accordingly my turbo needle could boost into the red. One day, the muffler just got to holey and I needed something quick as it was my daily driver. I settled for a stock Saab muffler. What a mistake !! Since the day of installing the new muffler, I was never able to achieve those red boost levels again. I blame this on the muffler not allowing the exhaust out of the engine fast enough. So, with regards to your upgrade, I would ask that you keep an eye on your turbo needle and note how high you boost (while holding the gas pedal down for a period of time)is before the upgrade and after the upgrade. I am just curious and wondering if the original exhaust system will still let the engine breath just as well with the newly gained horse power. I look forward to you keeping me posted.
And I thought this was going to be a quick note..... NOT !!!
