the air intake, when the throttle plate closes (foot off accelerator pedal) to protect the turbo blades from the reflected (off the plate) pressure wave. Its black, got 2 ports at 90 degrees form each other and a third air line from its top going to the check valve mounted on the driver fender. You want to suck on the small line to see if it holds vaccum, if not replace. About $35.
