motor. Saab's boost control system is very complex and not easily fooled.
There is overboost protection built in that limits the boost, depending on
model, to around 15 PSI.
BUT, there are ways to get more boost. I'm not sure which control system
the '90 Carlsson has, but it can be modified. If it were a Trionic system,
(Don't believe it is), a reprogrammed ECU with higher boost cut-off limits,
and new fuel and timing maps are available. I think your control system
is the APC system. If it is, a modified APC box can be obtained. It would
require a different fuel pressure regulator, altered timing control, free
flow exhaust etc.
There is a lot of info available on this BB to help guide you. Please be
careful with your mods and do them in a manner that is safe for your motor.
I think when you doubled the boost on your other car, you brought it up to
the level that a Saab runs in stock form.
have fun, good luck.
