Anybody have any experience in what effects accident damage has on 9000s?
I bought mine ('97 2.3t) at 2 years old and was particular about a no-bumps history so I payed top-book price on it.
On Thursday a young lady crossed a red light at an intersection and I ran straight into her doing about 35-40mph.
Bonnet and wings all bent back and down, looks a real mess. Inner wings bent too, plus all usual stuff...
My question is... if it's repaired by a 'Saab Approved' bodyshop (my insurer reckons they provide a "Lifetime Guarantee" on the repairs) will the original structural integrity be compromised? If it's ever in a bigger bump is it possible that something already upset or compromised, but not obvious, could fail worse than if the car had never been hit?
I must admit I'm not happy at losing that nice untouched car feeling...
After a lot of car repayments I'll be worse off if I [can] sell too...
Maybe I'm just being totally retentive?!
:(
