I have been having all og those same exact symptoms with my 88 9k Turbo. Mine has 120k on the clock thus far and it does exactly as you say
It will: a.)drop it's idle down to 500-700 rpms then when I blip the throttle it'll shoot up to about 1200 -1500 rpms. If I keep this up it will eventually settle where it need to be, sometimes it won't though.
b.)Each day it stalls on me at least 2 times, this mostly happens when I'm slowing down to make a turn. Like when I'm doing 30 mph and then slow down to about 15-20 mph and place it in second gear to take a sharpe turn as when driving through a neighborhood.

I did all of the things that were suggested to me here at the saabnet, cleaned the T-body(it's a big bore unit less than 2 months old), cleaned the AMM, cleaned my K&N filter, checked and rechecked all my hoses for leaks(they're all silicone less than 3 months old) so I then turned my attenion to the AIC valve itself. I did a little test to see if this is where the problem exist. Let the car idle long enough for it to start acting up, then opened the hood(engine running)and gave the AIC a few wacks with the handle of a screwdriver. As soon as I hit it, the car settled at the correct idle. I think I only needed to wack it twice. I knew then that the AIC vale was sticking. Took it off and cleaned it out with WD-40 (used plenty of it) then put it back in the car. All was well for a few days then the problem came back. I'm convinced that the valve is bad, but they are kinda pricey so, it's on my list of things to get. Sorry I can't post follow ups on it yet but, will do so when I do replace the unit. Do the test and you'll see what I mean. If you replace it let us know your thoughts afterwards. Good luck, PHil
