Pretty sure your fuel pump is dying. Hot weather is hard on the Walbro pumps, especially if they are old and ESPECIALLY if you sit in traffic on hot days. It's an easy job. Get the replacement pump only (not the whole unit) for about $90-$100. You also have to add an additional check-valve. There is a DIY check valve kit (about$35) available from the Townsand site. It's the cheapest fuel pump fix in Saab-land.
Other things to check are O2 (Lambda) sensor (check for resistance), and fuel pump relay.
