I seem to be digging a real hole for myself with my new '89 9000 - I just walked away from it breathing deeply having spent two hours trying to fix a problem, only to introduce another. Any suggestions appreciated . . .

After an hour or so trying to get my Heater Control Panel back in place with the blown air routing control's link rod connected properly I either broke or disturbed something and now I have lost my dashboard backlights. The computer display lights - but very faintly. When I switch the interior courtesy light on the computer display brightens, but still no dash backlight. Switching the headlamps on (with the courtesy light off) neither switches the backlights on or causes the computer display to brighten.

Any and all suggestions appreciated, before I go completely crazy!
