You don't say what year your car is, but a CD probably has an electronic speedo. If the speed sensor on the transmission (on top near the rear if it's a manual, no idea where if it's an auto) stops working, or more likely has a bad connector, then the speedo will stop working along with many other things that rely on the speed sensor. This includes the cruise control (for obvious reasons) and the fuel consumption and distance-left displays on the EDU.
Another symptom that may confirm this is that you will only get base boost. Does the boost gauge ever go further than about 1/2-2/3 along the orange scale? Again, I don't know what year your car is and I know Trionic cars restrict boost in the absence of a speed signal, but I think it is the same for all turbos regardless of the type of engine management. The car may also be prone to stalling when coming to a stop.
A good general tip is to state the year, engine size, transmission type (auto or manual) and probably the mileage of your car as it helps other people provide relevant information. Many aspects of these cars changed over time and different years, engines, transmissions can give different problems, or the same symptom with different causes.
Good luck.
