Rebuild/replace

Binding is usually due to sand and dirt getting stuck in the cylinder bore, along with rust and corrosion (from moisture in the old brake fluid). About the only solution is to rebuild the brake caliper to get that stuff out. It's pretty much outside the fluid flow, so flushing won't help. I've tried pushing the caliper in and out to clear it, but it hasn't helped for more than about a week. You can buy rebuild kits (new seals and boots) and do it yourself, or you can just replace the calipers.
I was having a similar binding problem, with the exact same symptoms. I isolated it to one caliper. My local autoparts chain carries rebuilt Saab calipers for about $80 (after core charge and AAA discount). Replacement is simple - just pull the pads from the old one, unbolt, pull off the brake line, swap in the new one. If you don't trust the brake pads anymore, then replace them (ALWAYS replace brake pads in pairs - both left and right wheels). You'll have to bleed the system, but after replacing the caliper is the perfect time to flush the system.
With a borrowed pressure bleeder, this whole task took me about an hour. That's why I like buying rebuilt calipers - less down-time on the car. But I've rebuilt them myself in the past and saved a few $$.
